This kit aligned nicely with our local curriculum. Our students engaged well and despite lockdown and weather challenges we were able to go ahead with our beach clean day. We aligned this event with the local scouts group and had a good turn out of scouts, parents, and students.

Very useful sea cleaners kit. The children absolutely loved the gloves and the bags that were provided. The posters were also such a great tool to put around our school. A great thing about this kit is it can be used over again. Gloves can be washed and the posters again were fantastic. We really appreciated this kit as we live super close to a beach.

My students enjoyed learning about what happens to rubbish left lying around and how, despite not living near the ocean, we share responsibility. The learning fitted in nicely with our enivroschools learning and our previous work on Laudato Si. We cleaned up around our school and in the adjacent chapel area. We sorted what we found into different waste categories and were surprised at some of the things we found.

My class loved this kit. We live along the Waikato river, so had an amazing opportunity to find out about our local place while we were planning our clean up. Kids were pretty shocked to learn that our local rubbish could easily get the the sea. Unfortunately our full scale clean up got cancelled due to lockdown, but across our team of 130 kids - we managed to stagger a smaller scale local clean up over a number of weeks. This continues to be a regular part of our school actions to enhance our local environment and support our community.

Unfortunately we begun in term 3 with the introduction to the programme, hoping to plan and set dates for achieving deadlines. We identified our stream and where it meets the sea and yhe effects of pollution. This is basically where we stopped due to lockdown. However we still intend to complete or attempt if not term 4 if it allows us or start again in 2022 term 1
