1. I pick up rubbish on the way to school with my mum so the birds don't eat the plastic and die. 2. I didn't know that many sea animals die because people use to much plastic and then it goes in the ocean if they don't put it in the rubbish bins.

The sea animals posters, we made a mural with rubbish we picked up from the school playground showing how it ends up in the ocean

How has this kit impacted your class culture toward whenua ora (land wellness) and sustainability?
It has been amazing seeing the students being aware of how much plastic there is in their lunch boxes, lots of them pick up rubbish on their way to school, during play times at school. We recycle now, so a huge impact on everyone.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
They are now very aware of how we can make a difference and they have already acted on that

the students found the tyre the most interesting, they wouldn't understand why someone would be so bad to throw their tyres into a reserve
