"The gloves make sense" - The kids liked the words on the gloves and holding their hands up so others could read the message. "I want to do this again!" - We went to our local awa to collect urbbish, even though we stuck to the path, it was amazing how much rubbish they collected.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The best part of the kit was the posters with the space in the animal's stomachs, where the children glued rubbish from our river walk. The visual made the kids think about how rubbish can get into animals' stomachs.

How has this kit impacted your class culture toward whenua ora (land wellness) and sustainability?
We actually looked at water in term 4 so what they learned in term 3 with the clean up was great, because the children were able to show other children the photos of what they collected from their own neighbourhood and the kids could see it actually is a problem/
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
That rubbish from a stream can end up in the great pacific garbage patch.

We did not do this exactly. But we walked 1.3 km along Manawatu river (from Albert St Entrance)

Their was a bread bag with 3-4 slices of bread. They thought maybe this had fallen from someones pram.
