Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The gloves were great and the children wore them with pride. The resources that provided facts about looking after our environment were very valuable.
How many bags of rubbish did your class collect?
We collected 5 little buckets of rubbish that would have filled 1 bag, however there had been 2 school groups visit the area we went to previously so potentially we could hav ecollected more.
How has this kit impacted your class culture toward whenua ora (land wellness) and sustainability?
This kit has given the children a broader awareness of our responsibility to care for our environment for current and future generations.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
The legacy that all living things on Earth are interconnected and our impact, in terms of pollution, can have a very detrimental effect on sea creatures (and other animals and plants) and that we need to ensure we make sustainable choices that are going to benefit our planet not destroy it.

An old nappy - nobody could believe that someone would leave this on a beach, disgusting!
