We were working with the whitebait connection program and as part of our action plan to keep our waters clean, we organized a rubbish pick up around the school. We used the gloves and bags to collect rubbish and then sorted the rubbish into groups to see what we got the most of. The students were really excited about the different types of rubbish they managed to collect and it was a great opportunity to use that excitement to make them feel like this activity was purposeful and had positive consequences for our environment.
