What was the most interesting piece of rubbish found and why? Students were very interested in the different types of plastic bags which led us into exploring varieties of plastic.
The sea cleaners kit was a great link to our term's topic of looking at our local place. As the focus for the term was the sea the kit supported students with the knowledge they needed before going snorkeling and sailing trips in our local area. The beach clean-up activity was excellent for connecting to statistics and leading into exploring how we could inform others of the dangers of plastic in the sea.
