It is really important to keep plastic out of our ocean. Fish eat it, thinking its food, and then they die. - Olivia. I really enjoyed going out and picking up the rubbish. I didn't think we would find much, but we did. It was good to care for our local beach. - Gabriel

The posters. They are bright and colourful and really send the message home.

How has this kit impacted your class culture toward whenua ora (land wellness) and sustainability?
They are now aware and thoughtful when seeing rubbish around the school (and hopefully outside school too). They love the ocean, and want to keep it clean for many generations to enjoy in the future.
