“We had an amazing time saving Purple Monkey and the future of the world! We had to change it up as 2 classes did it at the same time and our principal is a teaching principal, so Mrs V in the office was Purple Monkey. The tension was built right from the start of the day with our caution tape everywhere (parents were messaging in wondering if we'd been robbed! Oopsie poopsie :-) ) The kids had a fab time and it was brilliant to see most of them working together to solve the clues and get really into it! The kids range from Year 3 - 6 so was great they were all supporting each other. They are still calling each other their spy names. Such a fabulous kit, and well worth the set up time.”
“After our successful mission on Friday, we handed our 'findings' over to our friendly Education Officer. After a quick debrief she shook hands with the whole class to thank them for their work defeating the Forever Night crew. The perfect way to end the mission. Lol”
“My Year 4/5s had such a great morning taking part in the STEAM kit. It was the perfect thing to do after a week of assessment!
The challenges were great and made them think for themselves and work together to solve the mystery.
The details and the planning that must have gone into this was outstanding!!
Thank you so much :sleuth:️♀”
“We finally had a chance to Escape from Room 12 with the fun, brain hurting challenges. The students enjoyed it and I loved watching all the interaction.”
“The concept of a problem solving steam kit fitted right into our school focus of growth mindset. Some of my emergent learns found the reading and comprehension of what the activity was asking hard. On the flip side it was a really great opportunity for my independent learners. In idea could be mixed ability groups, giving more independent students leadership opportunities. Great Kit!”
“This kit was amazing!!! The kids were engaged and so focused on saving Mr J (Purple Monkey). We did struggle a little with the circuits... not sure if it was the equipment or us. The activites were fun and the rest of the school were incredibly jealous. Really showed the kids who were amazing collaborators. Thank you!”
