The tasks tested their collaborative skills and required them to listen and share their ideas. The problems were well scaffolded to suit the diverse range of students.

Room 10, 11 at Maungatapu School worked together on this activity. There was alot of collaboration and students were very engaged. They came in from morning tea and were greeted with a very engaging scenario. They loved being secret agents..however the puzzles were quite tricky for us juniors so we roped in some senior children to help. Our students showed great perseverance to crack. We have passed the kit on to the middle school teachers for them to give it a go as well. We appreciate these engaging and high quality activities that School kit provides us with - we often dont have the time or resources to put together such wonderful activities. Thanks heaps.”

It took some time for our learners to understand and complete some of the puzzles, however with a bit of help from Golden Magpie they were able to solve their way to Purple Monkey!
I work in a MLE and because our schedules run as a whole habitat, we weren't able to complete this in one day. We worked through the puzzles day by day over a week and when it came to being Secret Agents the students were excited! Therefore this kit is also fantastic to use in a MLE too.
I'd love to use this in the future, so I used photocopied versions of the piece with my students.
