What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? Students found the change really meaningful and it was neat to do something different.
“We looked at how to care for animals and signs our pet might be unwell. It was great to compare nurses, doctors, animal doctors, vets and vet nurses and their roles and responsibilities. The students were highly engaged.”

“The students enjoyed the mystery of working out what could be wrong with the different animals. A nice variety of activities. My only concern was I tried to log into my account and was informed my password was wrong. I did send an email twice asking for a new password but never received a reply. Hence the reason my review was not completed previously.”

“Kids are always keen to learn about animals. From the perspective of a vet, this was very meaningful learning as students follwed the problem solving process to work out what was wrong with the animals. Great learning!”

The students had to use their own prior knowledge of illness and injuries, and then decide if it related to the symptoms and possible diagnosis. The students also researched symptoms to see if their assumptions were accurate.
