“I really struggled to understand what was happening with this school kit. It was quite confusing to follow the plan. I was working with another teacher and she also struggled. Maybe term 4 was not the best time to be using it. The coding at the very start was also confusing!”

“Story Vets was a really interesting and engaging unit that had real-life learning. I like how it was linked to fairytales that the students were all familiar with. My students loved looking at x-rays and using the elimination process to work out what was wrong with each animal. They all want to be vets now!”

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? For some children, it was their favourite project all year!
“The children who are inqusitive and/or love animals just loved these tasks! The felt like detectives, working out the clues! The ones who struggle with reading or don't enjoy problem solving struggled to get into the tasks- opting to copy others. The resource was well planned and very well resourced. I would 100% do this kit again!”

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? My students thought it was a really cool hands-on activity, very different from what we normally do in class.
“This kit was amazing! Really cool resource. I loved the realistic looking x-rays and petri dish. I loved how my students had to figure out how they were meant to treat the patient, rather than just outright telling them. Great way to develop some critical thinking skills and see how they will apply in the "real world"!”

“My class loved this kit, we got lots out of it, esecially with Literacy (linking the Fairy Tales), Maths and Living World. We got a local vet to come and visit to talk abour his job and that really helped us with the topic moving forward.”
