What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? Students have enjoyed different parts of teh kit - the unplugged coding, the scientific elimination process and the reminder of favourite fairy tales

How did this resource help students understand process of elimination using data analysis? Yes! This kit was a great way of getting students to understand process of elimination. There were clear guidelines for students to follow and they found the process quite exciting.

Did this kit increase your students awareness of the skills needed to work in the vet industry? Yes! The videos at the start of the unit gave us a good insight into the range of roles of a vet. Students were engaged in seeing all of the different animals they work with and were able to compare a vet to a doctor and analyse how vets have to learn the anatomy of a range of animals. Students enjoyed learning about xrays, blood tests, making observations, taking temperature, pulse, and breath rate

What feedback have you received from students or parents about the learning in this kit? Compassion for animals that are hurt. TPR was of high interest to students. It was a good exercise in needing to go back and revise initial assumptions using diagnostic techniques- rather than heading in a singular direction to get an answer.
“My Year 5/6 class used this kit in Term 3 and most found it engaging and interesting. For some , the technical content was a bit challenging to grasp however they all enjoyed getting to be vet detectives and diagnosing what was happening with ‘their patient’.”
