I think that this is an amazing resource. The instructions on how to use are simple. There is always someone ready to help. Unfortunately for our class this year we were not able to use the resource as intended. I would love to be able to use it next year when the year is more settled.

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? The project we decided to do took a while to start, however when we had done some research as how it would work and look, it was quite helpful and exciting. Children worked first on their findings, deciding on what and how they would create their project.

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? The motto - 'Every little bit helps' was clearly prevalent here. Schools and the Masterton District Council were very happy with the work we did to help our community. A number of the students will continue to volunteer for the MDC during the holidays.

What type of project did your class undertake? Greenspace Project, Water Based Project
This kit provided my students with the opportunity to work independently on greenspace and water based projects throughout our community. Many projects were done in collaboration with our feeder schools who have strong enviroschool programmes. Next year we will be an enviroschool in a more formal sense. The learning outcome for my students was very clear in that despite being a proudly green area of Aotearoa we have a lot of work to do. Students were shocked at the amount of rubbish in our communities green spaces. Overall a wonderful green experience and opportunity for my students to self manage.
