We love this kit! Every year we have used this to support our student volunteer work. We find the students look forward to it and having a chance to give back to the community.

We at Reremoana love the SVA school kit. It was our second time participating and in many ways it helps with the process of checking in with student agency. It was great to be able to make a difference in the lives of others :)

It’s was great to benefit our school community. We planted fruit trees that will provide our children with fruit in the future. We are now looking at planting veggies.

This is a great project to run. I wish it could have been a better year and that children would have gotten more out of it. They loved creating and being able to work in teams to a common goal.

This was an amazing kit- our theme for term 3 was ";connected"; the students chose four events all with a 'green' theme' AND GIVING BACK TO OUR WIDER COMMUNITY,OUR PARISH,OUR WHANAU AND OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY. We cleaned up Sumner beach( here in Christchurch) the Year 8 students have made reusable bags at Fabrics Technology- which are being gifted to our elderly parishoners, they held a mufti day, bring a coin and a can, and 3 fridays of non perishable food items which we then distributed the food to 38 families at our school, the last one is Enchantment Under the Sea, a themed disco for the whole school. Because of Covid levels this has had to be postponed until Term 4. The money raised on the mufti day pays for the sausage sizzle, sweets and glow sticks. We have photographs of all of our events which we will post after the disco on SchoolKit facebook page.
