What was the community impact of your volunteering project? We collected food for the local marae we were able to get others involved and even made cakes and cupcakes for the local rest homes as they loved helping others. We got thank you letters and the leader of the Marae came and thanked us.

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? Students volunteered time to re-establish a school garden that has been out of use. Other students are now interested and our tangata taiao program is beginning to make traction as a direct result of starting the garden back up.

Fantastic kit with so many useful ideas and tools. Love that there are so many different roles the students can be. We are going to be using the kit in Term 4, to organise a Christmas food bank.

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? Students enjoyed learning about the SVA and what it entails. They were inspired and motivated to organise their own fundraiser for a project yet to be determined.

There were lots of SVA branded materials, however, I wish there were more practical ideas for students to make changes at school and at home.

What was the community impact of your volunteering project? Giving pet food / blankets to local animal shelters. Cleaner beaches for local beaches. Community grateful for food parcels they received.

Great box to get students thinking of the wider community. Each of my students chose their own project and created presentations to show all of their findings.
