“Sadly our initiatives were interrupted by the covid lockdown. Even when we got back to school we could not send the students out to do their planned volunteering as they were with a kindergarten and retirement home, as well as collecting books for the kids in hospital. They had done a good job planning but covid struck just as we were about to implement our plans.”

“We thought of our community within the class. Our student volunteer army performed acts of service and kindness for family within their bubbles. They learned to see the needs of others. We also helped the caretaker at school by tidying our environment on the playground and other area of the school. Picking up rubbish to and from school when walking. Lots of learning conversations around community and being helpful.”
