What was the impact of your volunteering project on the targeted community? We made people aware of the rubbish in our school newsletter and hopefully it would have made people think more about disposing of their rubbish more carefully.
What type of project did your class undertake? Greenspace Project
The kit was user friendly, and the students enjoyed using it. They liked having different roles and learning about volunteering from the videos. It was helpful for students doing the William Pike Challenge to give them ideas of how they could earn Community points. Some of my students did rubbish collections in their own time.

What was the impact of your volunteering project on the targeted community? The kaumatua were very delighted and honoured with this project the students did.

This kit was very cool to do with the tamariki. Unfortunately, another teacher had ordered the same kit from this site, and so I chose to join his classes to do the project with them, so we did not double up on projects with the same age group. Overall, great outcome, the students put together kai packs for our local kaumatua, they loved the manaakitanga.

This kit had fantastic information on how students could become volunteers within the school and outside of it. The resources were well done and easy to use.

I ordered this for a NE class and unfortuntely just couldn't make it work with the class of learners. Its a great idea if you can adibet it to your needs.

A powerful way to practically teach about giving back, unity and team work. Our learners thoroughly enjoyed baking morning tea and singing and reading to residents at our local rest home. It fits perfectly with our Catholic school values.
