Awesome mahi from the tamariki promoting the donation of can goods for our local church charity. Well advertised, cans gathered in the shape of a cross and photographed, then shared on our school FB page. Cans/food greatly received by SVDP.

What type of project did your class undertake? Food Bank Project, Staying in Touch from Afar
Students in my class had not often had a chance to volunteer for their community and some who were often on the receiving end felt a sense of accomplishment when in the volunteering role to help others in their community. The resources catered to my Yr8 class well and helped them think outside the box when thinking of was to help out others. I would recommend this and other kits to others who are want to teach their students empathy and felt good reward for helping others.

Love the job cards and the way everything was set out. So cool to have something that could be so student led! We tied this in with our E Tu Tangata programme that was running with our Youth Workers at school.

It was a really great resource however my students are Y1 and 2 and found it a bit tricky to navigate and understand. Definitely a fantastic resource for the older children (or the more mature)
