“Amazing kit. Fantastic learning especially around the science and maths aspects. Kids loved learning about protractors. Will send photos when I'm at home”
“We used your fantastic kit as the motivation for our whole class inquiry. Which is still happening at the moment! What I loved the most is the level of cross curricular integration that we did. Maths, science, social studies, technology, writing (explanation) the list goes on! We are completing the cow olympics activities this week as a fun end of term activity so I don't have any photos yet!
I have loved that this topic/kit has been a focus that has kept my kids engaged throughout the entire term.”
“It was a challenge for my students. When I launched the map reading activities, I discovered a whole lot of learning that needed to happen. We spent a lot of time learning about reading maps and following directions.
We used the cow Olympics as part of our fun Friday activities.”
“The learners at Lemonwood Grove loved the selection of activities and the challenges that the Track the Tanker kit provided. The video clips were interesting and established an interest it the task. The maths was challenging and made them think along with exposing them to new concepts. The cow olympics was a hit and they loved making up the activities then sharing them with their fellow learners. While we were participating in the olympics some younger learners came to join in as they saw it was so much fun. Thank you for the opportunity to participate. I think I am hooked on your kits.”
“This is my favourite kit to date! My children were well engaged and it was fabulous to have a real world context for learning about measurement.
The olympics themselves were a real highlight for the children, I was terribly disappointed that I needed to leave it for a reliever!!! They have talked about it ever since, and shared some amazing writing about their day too! Thanks for such a great resource!!”
“I loved this kit as there was so many aspects of maths covered and it was very engaging for the students.
They learnt how to collaborate in a group, how to solve problems and heaps of maths: Measuring angles, all number operations, working with high numbers, place value, percentages, google maps, measurement of distance and volume/capacity ... It was fabulous how much maths this kit covered.
I am sorry it is a little late as we had a Students teacher who had specific requirements over the 5 weeks she was here.
Sorry, I cn not add photos to this review as it just goes large and then I lose everything else and have to start typing again!”
“The class really enjoyed the use of map and protractors to learn new Math skills. They also loved the cow-Olympics, but due to lack of time, we couldn't complete all of the tasks as a class, but each task got completed by individual groups. As a teacher, it took a little while to get my head around this (my first school kit) but it was an enjoyable way to teach and interact with my class.”
