In what ways did this kit develop understanding of the cultural significance of water in Te Ao Māori? We researched our local history and looked at the significance of our awa to Maori, both pre and post colonizsation. This kit was extremely helpful in our work around local history.

“This kit was quite a challenging one. Due to Covid we had to push it out to term 4 which wasn't ideal - but what was this year! The ability to test our local waterway, which some of the students have played in, was an eye opener! The silt, dirt, rubbish etc was sad to see. We managed to do some extension work around rubbish and climate change. I love that these kits are so well planned but also allow us to adapt it to our students needs and interests! Thank you School Kit! Yet another winner!”

Unfortunately due to COVID it was extremely hard to be consistent with our science investigation and looking at water ways as we were interrupted.
