What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? I think some of the simpler water saver strategies will stick with students. Discussions were interesting about summer/winter variance.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? Helped to keep some students engaged. The human eyeball was definitely an interesting benchmark.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? I think awareness is much better. The wastage at the water fountains has decreased for sure.

I liked the way this kit connected between home and school. It allowed lots of great real world connections. Great statistical work.This is a fabulous resource.

Your resource was used as the basis of our inquiry and was very well linked to the science and social science aspects we needed for our inquiry into water. Thank you for the professional accurate information and resources. They were invaluable.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? We learnt about water purity and about water issues in the rest of the world. The water cycle.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? It was a bit confusing with the amount of stamping. Also it was hard to find 10 days in a row that worked for our class.

My class of Year 5/6 students enjoyed this unit. We enjoyed learning about how to save water and they liked having some resources to take home.

The students of my farming community were really engaged with this unit of work and more mindful of their water use. They are very willing to spread the word of conserving water and being considerate of the environment. Thank you for this valuable resource!

We learnt about 3 different types of water - waste, storm and drinking. We have all gotten better at our water saving habits. It was a cool way to connect school to home.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? Discussions and hands on experience of how this looks for everyday families worked well. We also matched this with a Waterwise visit from the Auckland council.

This is a beautiful kit that fits well with the numeracy curriculum for data capturing and Kaitaiakitanga. Chldren wer engaged and enjoyed the visual layout and engaging context.

We have talked about what they are still doing from the options - most are sticking with the toothbrush and showers.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? Took a long time and was only good for those that actively participated in the challenge at home despite all of the encouragement from the classroom.

The water savers kit is a great concept, however, the input required by the students at home can make it tricky to get the data back in to school. The resources for the lead up to the 10 day challenge were great.
