What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? As most pieces of paper did not come back I believe some of our data was made up.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? We had done previous learning about this in term one. I think if we had not of done this learning prior the awareness would not of been as high.

It took a while for kids to collect data. Some also did not bring their sheets back. I get this don’t hook the kids in to their learning as well as other kits I have done before.

This kit reinforced to the class about how easy it is to save water. Also to ensure that water is being used in a sustainable manner. It made the children realise the importance of drinking enough water every day.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? I think every single student in my class will now turn the rap off while brushing their teeth from now on, forever! Students were not prepared to give up their spa pools or ability to wash down the boat after each use (we live seaside).

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? They started off really excited about the stamping. The stamping novelty wore off sooner than I’d expected but towards the end it came back as they could see how full the ‘containers’ were getting.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? Students were surprised at how such little changes can save so much water

My kids loved the posters and tracking their water saving each morning. They loved using the stamp which made an incentive to save water at home.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? I think that this kit will be a stimulus for change for some of the learners as they have developed good habits around water saving. As mentioned it linked to our Kaitiakitanga inquiry as well.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? They enjoyed adding all the data at the end and seeing the stamps grow as learners returned their data gathering sheets.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? Some of the information the kit provided was really interesting - how much water is used in creating items etc. It was definitely something that we hadn't considered prior to this. They also enjoyed the online water tracking/footprint activity as they could see how much water was being used in each household.

This kit was a fantastic addition to our Kaitiakitanga - Can one person make a difference? Integrated Inquiry Learning concept. It reinforced our big ideas, while also providing our learners with great information, fun learning experiences, and the opportunity to demonstrate that they can make a difference individually, and that adds up when we put all our collective actions together. An awesome School Kit that I would definitely recommend to others.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? Water literacy was emphasized. Students learned that natural resources, including water, are not unlimited and must be protected and conserved. Through journal searches on water issues in Africa and video clips, they understood the importance of water conservation and realized how fortunate we are to have abundant water resources.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? sorry. there was no the stamping practice. However, stickers and badges were used to promote water literacy at home and at school. Children from other classes even approached me, asking for badges.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? One great example is that each student has their own plant growing in the classroom. They suggested collecting rainwater to water their plants instead of using fresh tap water.

We used these resources over a 2-week period as part of our science inquiry, not for 10 weeks. Data collection was challenging because not all parents provided information or kept records of how much water they saved at home and even at school. For the chatter box activity, I encouraged learners to come up with their own ways to save, conserve, reduce, and reuse, so they could take ownership of their efforts and learning.

What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with? We are moving into an Inquiry unit of Kaitiaki and my students have seen that there are connections and are keen to explore this with our local waterway. So it is likely we will revisit this throughout the remainder of the year.

What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating? As a Y4-6 studio this has enabled our Y4 students to see and understand the impact of their water usage. It has been especially significant as we get our students to wash their hands before we eat and they are more aware of water waste when leaving the tap on.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom? While actively doing this my students were able to make connections to being Kaitiaki and as mentioned in the previous question are making savings when hand washing for kai.

Wanna be a Water Saver has been our mathematical inquiry for the term and we have really learnt a lot. From showering to full dish loads my parents are happy to see we can make savings not only with our water but the bill as well. Y6 Student feedback.

The infographics were a fantastic idea in theory, but my class struggled to debunk many of the ideas presented - an answer sheet would be helpful to give more clarity, or a purposefully fake one to help them get the idea of it. My class loved learning about how much water it took to produce different items and diving deeper into why. The statistical inquiry had potential, but I found my Year 7s didn’t have great motivation for it and it took more razzmatazz from me than I expected to keep it up for 10 days and then analyse.
