What influence has this kit had in promoting the longevity of water saving habits and what other water related topics did your students come up with?
Students were influenced in different ways based on their contexts. Some students looked at ways that they can water the garden without using water from the tap, while others opted for showers rather than bathing. The kit also encouraged me to look for a new dishwasher as my old one was not as eco-friendly..
Has your students water literacy knowledge improved after using this kit?
What was the impact of the daily stamping practice in your classroom and which water benchmark did your students find most fascinating?
The smaller benchmarks motivated the students more as they seemed more achievable. Once they started adding to them, they were encouraged to try other strategies too.
How have your students' perceptions of water conservation changed since using the resource and did it foster a sense of responsibility and awareness in your classroom?
Yes, students don't let the tap in our classroom drip and when they wash their hands, they only turn the tap on to rinse off the soap. This was not the case before we started this inquiry topic. They also drink water and use their water bottles.
On a scale of 1-10, how involved would you say families were at supporting this learning at home?
