“This is advertised as a travel stick, but it's amazing for small dogs! There's little to no mess compared to when I've used tins (everything gets slick and the balm ends up on multiple surfaces). My only complaint is that the price seems a little steep for what you get.”
“Ill start with the one negative. It can be quite solid, and it does not spread easily. If you keep it in your pocket, or a well lit window, you will likely be good to use when needed. Otherwise about 30 seconds under a hairdryer was enough to soften it when I was in a rush.
The positives, it has helped heal my dogs dry/cracked nose better, and faster, than anything else Ive tried. He is a nine year old Great Dane, well into his stubborn old man years, and he hates having his nose messed with. Other balms and oils Ive tried usually had him immediately running to a carpeted area to rub it off as fast as possible. With this balm, he still doesnt like his nose being messed with, but he has learned it is not as bad and it helps.
To an average human nose, the smell is almost impossible to detect.
I may try the larger container in the future, but this size is perfect for now.”
