Every pet is different and while there are pets that are deterred immediately, there may be a learning curve for others.
When applying the spray, we recommend using an assertive command such as "off" or "no". If your pup goes back to the object to lick or chew, go ahead and repeat the process. Consistency and repetition will help your pet learn the proper behavior.

“As soon as I sprayed this my 4 year old daughter started having a cough attack, wasnt able to breathe well, had to take her out of the home until I was able to open up every window and cleaned the spot where I had applied this on. And even after this she kept coughing continuously for hours !!! It left me a horrible taste on my mouth and throat, Im not sure what ingredients are not listed there but I recommend you advise this could be harmful to humans. And also verify those ingredients to make this safe around humans.”

We are very transparent about the ingredients that we use in our products and all ingredients are listed both on the bottle and on each product page. The active ingredient is an extremely bitter taste deterrent which was originally formulated as a child's safety ingredient for household products. It is safe to use on both people and pets but will leave a horrible taste in your mouth if ingested. Applying in a well ventilated area is recommended if you are more sensitive and this will also help with overspray.

“Our corgi puppy was play biting us and nothing seemed to help. This spray has helped a ton. We put it on our feet, ankles, hands, and clothes and definitely notice a difference. She doesnt like the taste or smell but will try to lick it off, however the biting has gone down. Wish it stayed on longer and didnt have to reapply so much but overall good product.”

“I love what you guys are doing as a company. But unfortunately this does not work. My basset hound ripped up the pee pad in 10 mins after I left for work. And I sprayed it all over it. It actually left a bitter taste in my mouth for the most part.
The ingredients might have to be looked at again. There's something that is not deterring some dogs.
But I will be looking into other products of yours for per clean up thanks though!!

“Really bummed out this did not work. I have a puppy that likes to bite hard and chew on furniture.
