“I bathe my dog about every -3 months but in between she loves to get muddy and she also has a history of itchy skin. “I bought the lavender from my pet store. Ive had excellent experiences with SH's enzyme cleaners so i just trusted this would be a healthy product.
However, this is just a bottle of parfume with undisclosed ARTIFICIAL fragrance ingredients. Sorry but I lose all respect for a company that brands themselves as being a healthy "natural" company and yet hides behind fragrance trade secrets.
Bottle says 9% natural but that 3% is significant especially when we're talking about chemical based fragrance. And can we just look at this from the dog's perspective? The fragrance is WAY strong and can't be pleasant to wear.
FURTHERMORE, when my dog needs skin healthy ingredients, the LAST thing I want to do is slather a bunch of gd synthetic parfume all over his already irritated skin!! Synthetic fragrance is notorious for causing skin irritation (and headaches). Im actually highly allergic to synthetic parfume....what if my dog is too? Not to mention, he's inevitably going to lick and therefore consume this garbage perfume - NOT HEALTHY AND NOT SAFE.
Cmon SH, do better. Create a product thats intended to dissolve odors using actual healthy (and truly natural) ingredients.... because this crap is simply intended to distract you from odor by inducing skin reactions and migraines. Might as well spray my dog with a bottle of Airwick.”

Our probiotic grooming products do state 9% natural on the bottle as the baseline percentage to streamline our operations, however, some have a higher percentage (never lower). Other ingredients play a role in preserving plant and water-based products and are vital to ensuring pet safety.
Synthetic fragrance is safe and approved for pet use at up to 1%. The synthetic fragrance that we use makes up less than 1% of the total ingredient makeup. We chose to use synthetic fragrance over other alternatives because it is safer for pets. It is generally safe if licked in small amounts.
