“My only issue with the Steve Complete is that it is impossible to get your toes into the front of the compression sock. I’ve tried multiple different ways of achieving this, but I’ve been unsuccessful. Unfortunately, this means that I either need to try and bend over and pull on the sock which is impossible given my hip problem or ask for help. I’m not sure this can be fixed given the way the sock is loaded onto the device. I think it only can be fixed if the sock is loaded from the front. Perhaps you should come up with a clip or two that could be placed on the tow box prior to putting the sock on and then used to adjust the sock onto the toes once the sock is on the leg.”
Dear Paul,
Thank you for your review. You need to roll down the stocking a little further on the device. In this way, you will experience that the stocking ends up right where it needs to be. Once you have found the perfect height, we recommend marking your stocking with a permanent marker. Then the next time, you know excatly how far to roll up the stocking.
For adjustments to the heel part/ toe part of your stocking, we recommend using the Steve Mat non-slip mat. This mat is made from natural rubber and sticks on every surface. You can use this Mat in a sitting positiong, so you can adjust the fit of your stocking with out bending over.
My apologies for not replying to your earlier, I only see your review now. We're always happy to help and assist. You can contact us at hello@stockingaid.com. I can share some videos with you to explain what I mean. Extensive thought went into the development of our donning aids and it should just work for you as well, so I hope we can help you in such a way that you are also going to be a completely satisfied user.
Kind regards,

“STEVE is the most helpful tool in my home! I was struggling to wear the prescribed compression socks, but after a brief learning period, I can't do without it.”
“My wife and I really love it and it makes putting on compression socks so much easier especially when dealing with 77 year old with hand issues in both hands. It took a couple of uses to get the hang of it. Not using to remove socks because it is much easier for my wife just to peal them off. Plan on taking it on trip later in year just have to figure out how to pack because wth significant hand issues I can not take two major pieces apart”
Dear Robert,
Thank you for your review!
In any case, if you want to take the Steve with you on vacation, we recommend that you do not take the 2 tube parts apart, but slide them together. This is easier, but also safer. If the tube parts are taken apart completely, there is a risk of pressure pallets falling out of the tube.
To remove the EasyON from the Base, it is important to place the Steve Complete on the table in front of you, so that you can press with one hand and hold the donning aid in place with the other. If you do this, for example, when you have the Steve Complete in your lap, it is more difficult to apply force. You then push one of the pushbuttons down and out and will find that it releases. At first, this may be a bit stiff. If you have hand/finger problems, you can do this with a pen, for example. That way you can push just a little easier.
We can always help you with tips and tricks, so feel free to send an email to hello@stockingaid.com and we are happy to help you! :)
Kind regards,
Steve Originals

“In December 2023, I had full knee replacement surgery and had edema in my calves. I bought a similar compression stocking aissistive device but it was cheap and flimsy. The brand was Sigvaris. I did more research and found the Steve Complete donning and doffing assistive device and bought it. After watching the demonstration videos on the website and on Youtube, it was so easy to get my compression stockings On and Off. What a huge relief. The device is very well made of sturdy hard plastic or resin, and will hold up for a long time. I'm really glad I found the Steve Complete device. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has to use compression stockings daily or often.”
