Easy and fun to play with and helps with focusing. No matter how you twist it, it keeps on turning and there are so many different ways to shape it. It really provides endless fidgeting! “I have always been a fan of Tangles, of all shapes and sizes. I fidget and stim a lot, especially with my hands as an adult who is neurodivergent (ADHD and Autism). These are my go-to fidget, but I must say that the Relax variant has been extra satisfying and my absolute favorite! “I'm a habitual fidgeter, and it gets particularly bad in class. My cuticles were suffering, and I found this after some research. I LOVE this tangle. It's small enough to fit in my hand, and the bumps and textures satisfy the same impulse as picking my skin. I'm also a hair twirler, and wrapping the sculpture around my fingers works great. It's completely silent, and I can grip it in my hand when I'm trying to be extra discreet. I'm so glad I found this!”
“This was my first tangle ever, and it's probably my favorite!
It's a lot sturdier than my other tangles. Which also means it a bit harder to pull apart and put back together. I have hypermobile joints and often have to ask my husband to reconnect them for me. This tangle offers a great texture that's bumpy and a little squishy. I love squeezing it between my fingers, and sometimes I pick at the bumps (which helps me not pick at my skin). It did have a bit of a smell fresh out the box, but it went away after a few weeks of lots of play. This tangle is also my loosest tangle, I think the rubbery texture adds a weight to it, which I love.
I often switch from this one, which is a high texture, to a smoother one like my color changing one or one from the gem series. Sometimes I have a tangle in each hand.
I would love to see more adult colors and different textures added to this series! I also like the one smooth segment in this, it used to have the label on it but I've played with it so much that it rubbed off. This tangle can also get dirtier than others, but it's easy to wash. Still, the rubbery/silicone part can get a little dingy looking, which looks dirtiest on the white segments. The clear segments are my favorite.
This tangle is also thicker than the average junior tangle, which I think makes more satisfying to weave and squeeze between your fingers. The squishy coating also makes it the quietest tangle I own. It does have a soft jangle to it, whereas the harder plastic tangles have more of a clicky/clinky sound to them.
I also appreciate that this is a registered medical device! I know some schools and work places are less accepting of disabilities and individual needs. That is what made me choose this one to be my first tangle! And I loved it so much I had to get more! Having a variety to choose from is really nice.”
