Ella's House Bum Boosters are made from hemp are are used for increasing absorbency in any nappy. They are normally used in conjunction with a shaped nappy but can also be used in all in ones for additional absorbency.
“I bought these to add extra absorbancy to disposable nappies at night-time. They work perfectly and I've had very few leakages since (those we did have were due to wonky nappies). “These boosters were recommended after completing the questionnaire and I can see why. They are very absorbant, and much thinner than the mother ease Sandy's stay dry boosters, (which I initally tried to avoid having to use a fleece liner) so they don't bulk out the nappy anywhere near as much making them so much better for folding in half to add extra absorbabcy at the front of the nappy for my little boy. Over night I now use 2 of these boosters, one folded in half at the front, with a tots bots bamboozle, or a bumble and a mother ease airflow wrap, and manage 12 hours without a leak.”
“These boosters add absorbency but they are a bit stiff for my 12 week old baby, I feel like they really push his legs apart and restrict him from straightening his legs. I'd use something softer for little ones”
“We have been having trouble with nappy leakage (we use disposables), which was waking our little boy (5months old) up in the night. Anyone with a baby knows that sleep is gold dust, and I was looking at a very expensive nappy which was reviewed as being a very good absorbent night nappy, and I contacted The Nappy Lady as I had some questions about it. After explaining the situation, this product was suggested instead. Given the bargain price of this product, we saved far more money going for this than the other product. This has also helped a bit with the overnight leakage as well, although the initial usage was a bit hit and miss with the learning curve of how best to position it/fold it inside the disposable nappy. “Perfect booster for pocket nappies when used with a faster absorbent booster such as cotton or microfibre. They are very slim, which was an initial concern.This booster catches the leaks and enables my 4 month old to stay dry for up to 4 hours, unlike in disposables when he leaks through them! Definitely worth purchasing when looking for a thin super absorbent booster for your reusable nappies.”
