I suffered terrible sore nipples with our first Son until I discovered Lansinoh, immediately on using it the soreness eased and within a few days i was healing beautifully. With our second Son i had the cream ready but decided to only use it if I needed it rather than from day one... BIG MISTAKE! Son 2 latched on well but I needed my nipples to 'toughen' up a bit and got a bit sore as soon as this started I used the cream and the soreness went within days. On baby 3 I'd learnt my lesson! I used Lansinoh immediately from birth and suffered no sore nipples at all. I continued to use it for around a month and then didn't need it once I'd 'toughen' up again.
