“The bed itself is exactly as advertised, solid construction, looks great. But the customer care after ordering left a lot to be desired. When you buy a big-ticket item online, you expect a certain level of follow-up from the company. A confirmation email, an explanation about how long it will take to arrive, what happens next, etc. I got an 'Order status: confirmed' email as my confirmation – way too vague to be reassuring. I then had a receipt from the payment platform Stripe from 'Traditional Beams Ltd', simply giving 'Wooden Bed Company' plus the amount (no company VAT number, nothing to show that it was an actual company). That was it. I then spent a very nervy couple of weeks wondering if I'd been scammed before eventually calling and emailing, to be told the beds are handmade and they can't say when they'll be ready. This may be the case, but guys, that's simply not enough information to give a customer who's just spent a lot of money with you. You really need to work on your digital customer aftercare! And for all those customers frantically scrolling through reviews to find out if they've been conned – don't worry, this is a real company and our bed did eventually arrive after about a month. It's as lovely as it looks in the pictures.”

We are sorry to hear you felt as though you did not receive enough communication from us. We have been working behind the scenes of changing our customer record management system which has now been done since you placed your order so all customers now receive an email when their order goes into production and I always call each customer to check what dates they are available for delivery :) Sorry to hear the Traditional Beams also confused you, Traditional Beams is our main business and The Wooden Bed Company is our sister company - please feel free to check our website out I am sure you will be just as pleased with the products advertised on there as you are with your bed. “We love our new super kingsize bed. The only reason I hvnt given 5 stars is because the main supporting central slat arrived split right through at one end. When reorted, I aas informed that it wdnt make a differencc and that the beds come with s 12 year guarantee anyway - so fingers crossed it doesn’t split and bresk off when we actually sleep in it. Still waiting fr mattresses from another company. The company itself were very friendly and personable.”
