We’re an Australian business located in Melbourne and dedicated to creating beautiful, personalised blankets. All of our blankets are an order of one and knitted just for you.

We are very passionate about making all of our products in Australia. We have been producing personalised gifts for over 10 years in the photo industry.

Our blankets are knitted from 100% combed cotton. Combed cotton is super soft and we do not use any harmful chemicals so they are perfectly safe for babies and children.

“Previously order a blanket and then had amazing service to help create what I had visioned for my son who was going into hospital. We required another identical blanket created urgently for our little Lucas; the immediate reply and assistance from Peter to have this created for us within hours and then also delivered to us (with comforting flowers) was over and beyond any customer service provided. Our blankets purchased from and created by Thread the Word are and will be cherished by my family forever. “We purchased the bassinet organic cotton blanket. The design is perfect and the fabric is super soft. It even smelt clean when received. The size is perfect for a newborn and could even be suited for a baby up to 12-18 months, so you will get long use out of it. The blanket quality is thick and durable compared to other knit blankets you will find in store.”
