Not a paid review! This thing definitely works for me. I'm Caucasian so have fairly light skin and my hair is basically black as night in my legs and underarms. I only used this thing for about 4 weeks, twice a week on my legs at the highest level and my leg hair had significantly decreased in growth. I have bald spots and any hair that does still grow is slow compared to normal. My underarms I haven't been as diligent but definitely have some bald spots there, too. Yes, it sings like the dickens on moles or tattoos, but well worth the price of that one second sting. The only problem is that I had an allergic type reaction, which apparently is a thing that can happen with laser hair removal, but I tend to be kind of sensitive so I'm not giving fewer stars for my own body being a jerk. It caused itchy bug bite like bumps that lasted a little over a week, but cortisone cream or lidocaine gel with Benadryl definitely helped. I can deal with that to not have to deal with shaving three times or more per week. Well worth the money I paid for this thing!

Not sure it's going to permanently remove the hair on my legs, but so far it's growing back much thinner and is much easier to shave.

I'm a bit of a home-hair-removal enthusiast. I find shaving to be a pain so over the years I've accumulated extensive waxing kits and even a wet/dry epilator. I've managed even to brainwash my husband into enjoying having his back waxed. It's the simple pleasures, really, but over the years I've become increasingly busy and just the time and prep-work with turning my bathroom into a spa (plus the pain of maneuvering around my calves) to wax everything away has become a more of a pain. We had discussed getting laser hair removal treatments, but couldn't justify the price combined with the hour-drive for the appointments. Hence, we did research and found this little guy. We picked this model specifically because despite it being one of the cheaper options on the market it does have good reviews, plus it's not cordless-- we wanted to make sure that it was going to use the power it needs and built in batteries in my experience tend to die quicker. So far, I've only had the opportunity to do one treatment; my armpits. I'm a pasty white girl with dark brown hair and I put the setting to 4 to zap my pits. Like someone else had said, it really does feel like someone halfheartedly snapped you with a rubber-band without real tension, and the heat was fine (like if the light flashed twice as long it'd probably burn, but it's fine where it's at). Took me a minute to do both and then gave a quick aloe wipe down afterwards that honestly didn't feel necessary. It's now 24-hours later and no burns. I will provide an update on progress after a month.

I love this product and I used it very consistently and could see a change in my thickness of hair. I think using it more consistently will make the results even better, so make sure to buy it if you know you will keep up with it. It has both the manual mode and automatic mode and the automatic one makes it so easy to do big parts like legs and arms. Highly recommend this and the price is AMAZING too!

Ok, when Isay it worked, I mean, I could smell the hair singeing, but it didn't burn my skin. I was using it on my chin and subsequently used tweezers. Some hairs immediately released from the hair shaft with no pain and no tug. Those were the thicker, darker ones. I have great hopes for using this more often.

This worked really really well on my arms and my underarms but is taking a lot longer on my legs. I've used it for a month now, and it's definitely growing back slower but isn't gone yet.

Whoever made this product deserves an award. This is like the Dyson of beauty products. It'll zap away any hair you want and won't leave you with a single blemish.

Bought this instead of doing laser hair removal on my legs. I've had laser before on my lip and it was very expensive (about $500). Managed to get BETTER results, yes better results, from using Nood than I did from laser.
