The setup of the desk was significantly more time consuming than advertised. It took about 3 hours to assemble. I managed to snap screwdriver attempting to hand screw the messmate desktop and switch to a power drill because the wood was very hard.”

Thanks so much for the great feedback on the desk. Regarding the setup - I have emailed our engineering guys today and have started some conversation about your feedback. The recycled messmate is older and harder than all our other timbers so I can understand that pre-drilling would make a difference to getting those screws in smoothly.
