Artificial Grass Cleaner Large Refill Bottle Reviews

4.8 Rating 65 Reviews
I have been using both Artificial Grass Cleaner, and other Urine Free products - Backyard Fresh & Odour Control - for many years now and certainly since the arrival of my small dog 7+ years ago (who joined my two cats). All of the products are brilliant at their specific task and have solved all odour issues. I use them daily.. My yard is predominantly paving, with an enclosure area of artificial grass on top of pavers. For me, the products are worth every cent.

Highly recommend this product to clean your artificial grass cleaner. I've been looking for a product to get rid of the lingering urine smell on the patch of artificial grass on my balcony; Urine Free is a lifesaver! Smells great, the product smells natural, not too overpowering. Very easy to use with a hand pump sprayer. 10/10 would buy again.

The area we need to clean is confined and this product seems to do the job quite well. The "perfume" of this product is very strong and may not appeal to all users. We would prefer a more natural perfume, maybe eucalyptus or something similar, but regardless it's better than what it's designed to disguise.

Used this on our artificial back lawn, which thanks to the hot weather has had a real bad smell thanks to our 50kg Rottweiler. Had tried everything prior but nothing seemed to work. After using this within 24hrs the smell had all but gone. Definitely recommend it and will be buying again.

We have a medium sized backyard covered in artificial grass which has been down for many years. There have been several dogs living in the yard in that time. In summer it does get smelly if we have had no decent rain. I have never used an odour remover on it before. 5 litres does not go very far. Maybe does 1/4 to 1/3 of yard and that is not saturating the grass as per recommendations. It was wetted but not what I would call saturated. Doubt that it went down as far as the grass backing. With the 2 refill packs of concentrate they might just cover the rest of the grass. For my area of grass the product is too expensive to use if I saturated the grass. As for directions suggesting lifting the grass and spraying the crushed rock underneath, that is really not a practical suggestion. I used the battery powered sprayer which sprays only a small area and is fairly hard on the back having to keep leaning over to get close enough to get the spray on the grass to sufficiently wet it. Had to hold it about 30-40 cms above the grass, any higher and the spray tends to blow away before hitting the grass. It wasn't windy either. The product has a sweet fruity smell which lingers for at least 24 hours. I think it has briefly and superficially taken away the odour but due to the cost and the amount of grass we have, It is not a product I could afford to use regularly. Maybe once a year if really smelly.

Hi Debra. I'm sorry to hear that you have not been happy with how much urineFREE you will need to use to treat your grass. With the very first treatment, we do recommend you saturate the grass so the urineFREE is able to penetrate into the base of the grass and into the substrate what ever it may be. Crushed rock, dirt, sand, or concrete. urineFREE needs to cut through the build up of uric crystals and this can take more product depending on how long it hasn't been treated for, how many dogs there have been and what breed they are. As you can imagine, the urine output of a Chihuahua varies significantly to a great Dane. Subsequent treatments won't call for using as much product and is really only needed when the smell starts to come back which is usually in the warmer months. There is always the option of using our product backyardFRESH to help with the odour. BackyardFRESH is a long last deodoriser that alot of our customers like to use in between urineFREE treatments to help keep the cost down. I hope this helps and I am happy to talk with you further if required. Thanks Rachel

Using UrineFREE on our artificial grass for puppy pens has been a game changer! The smell has literally gone and the grass is kept in usable condition. The spray attachment has been great too!

Pleasant fragrance, quickly stopped the urine smell from my large dog (usually pees in two places in the yard). It was our first application so the bottle didn't last long but I anticipate longevity with regular applications.
