I tested that urine light Detector on tiled floors, carpet, and on two different types of kitty litter (paper and crystal). It couldn't detect urine at all. It detects milk and certain types of dust. 0 stars for the urine light Detector. Am unsure if the spray works. It smells long enough for the urine smell to dissipate, so I can't properly test it, but it does smell nice and it's better than the bleach smell. I still have to wash the entire room with the floor washer because the spray needs water to work properly and the urine light Detector can't detect it so I am still clueless where it is. I would still buy the liquid again because of the nice smell and maybe the spray works, but just in case it doesn't work, I also bought a pet spray repellent (from a pet store). To conclude, don't buy the urine light Detector because it's a huge disappointment (we all want that desperate solution of finding the wee and want to believe that this light works, but this one doesn't), however, the spray has a lovely refreshing smell and when combined with water and good penetration with a floor washer then it seems effective. 4 stars for the spray - not five stars because it needs a floor washer to be effective. In other words, you can't go spraying it wherever you smell wee and expect it to work, you need to scrub it in like a dish, but honestly, I haven't found anything better on the market. Everything needs that extra scrub.

Hi Eve, We are sorry to hear you had a negative experience with our product. Please note that you can only see urine under the detector once it has crystallised, so the detector doesn't work on fresh urine. However, if you have tried using the detector on dried urine stains and it has not worked, you may have received a faulty item. We are always happy to send a free replacement if you would like us to, or to process a refund if you are not satisfied with the product. Please note that urineFREE should not be diluted in water, it needs to be used pure, and you do not need to scrub or do anything for the urine remover to do its job. However, it is a dwell product, so once sprayed, it needs to sit for a little while on the stain and then the residue can be removed with water. If you have used detergents prior to applying urineFREE, please note that these will need to be rinsed out completely for urineFREE to be able to remove the stain and smell. The number 1 reason urineFREE may not work is that previous products have been used before. Products containing chemicals and detergents will NOT remove urine. They remove the non-soluble components of urine, but leave behind the uric acid crystals that lodge into the fibres of the carpet, wood etc. If chemicals or detergents have been used before than these products coat the uric acid crystals (like a wax sealer to a floor) making it very difficult for any product including biological products such as urineFREE to penetrate, even water won't remove it. These uric acid crystals will therefore remain, leaving the stain and the odour for good. As per our instructions we recommend removing as much of previous as possible using a wet cloth and sponging out, rinsing the cloth in running water to wash away the previous products. Once you are sure that the previous products have been removed then you can apply urineFREE. The second reason is if you are applying urineFREE to porous surfaces then you may need more product to complete the job. Carpets, rugs, soft furnishings, concrete, pavers and unglazed surfaces are particularly porous and for urineFREE to be 100% effective it needs to go where all the urine has gone. You need to saturate the stain and bleed the urine to the surface and this may take several applications, time and enough product. You can also use a plastic sheet to cover the rug and allow the product to work for longer. The urine will slowly rise to the surface to allow you to wipe away the sticky by-product. Again we'll be happy to help because we and so many customers know our products work when used as directed. We hope to hear from you. Thanks, Dan Lassen

I have alot of rescue cats urinating in our rental and the smell and stains have been atrocious. I was skeptical that Urine Free would work but it has exceeded all of my expectations. Our home is back to smelling good, the urine enzymes have been eliminated and our cats have actually stopped urinating. Thank you so much Urine Free. Your product has changed our life.

I was having issues with one of my cats returning to the same areas and peeing, the issue has now stopped after switching to this brand. It has a light clean smell Unlike some others where you have to leave the room as it smells like someone smashed oranges.

We have 2 cats and had been sure there was pee somewhere in our lounge, you would get faint wafts of it every now and then. With the blue light we were able to pinpoint where it was coming from (there were more spots than we thought!) and following the instructions have been able to eliminate them. We now regularly check with the blacklight for any new deposits and get rid of them asap. Best product Ive used so far.

This is my favourite product for removing urine stains. I’m toilet training my puppy and it’s really come in handy. And it lasts a lot longer than the foaming sanitisers I was previously using.

I have had great results with Urine Free when cleaning up my kitten’s accidents. The visible stain is completely removed, as is the smell. My kittens have not returned to the area again, much to my relief!
