Hi Isabel.
I'm sorry to hear that the battery sprayer doesn't seem to be working properly.
Have you tried adjusting the white nozzle at the front of the sprayer to adjust the stream?
Sometimes changing the batteries helps as well as when the batteries are getting lower, the stream can be affected.

“The sprayer works well, but the Pickup tube to the bottle had broken off at the black screw top cap
I made my own fix by joining the pickup line from the container and the sprayer hose together and
drilling a hole through the cap it works well. I did this to save time and hassel of trying to rplace the black screw cap
Probably you should ensure the pickup line can not be broken off from the black bottle top
