Did you use the urine detector in a fresh urine stain or old?
Is the carpet dry or wet?
Have you used anything to clean the area before trying to use the detector?
Was it dark when you tried to use it and no artificial lights on? TV, lights ect.
The urine detector will only work for dried urine stains as it will fluoresce the uric crystals. The crystals only appear with dried urine stains and can take some days to crystallise.
