“The product is just ok. If has some serious problems - #1 if hot temperature is set at max. - everytime i am filling up hot water, when filling a 10 ounce cup/glass it wastes 3-4 onces of water before reaching max. temperature setting. This not only wastes water but uses the filter and thus requiring to change filter more frequently. Based on wasting water, it not an eco friendly unit.
I would not recommend this unit.”
“I have had the Waterdrop RVO Instant Hot K6 for 18 months now and thought it was time to write an honest review.
First, we love the system - it was easy to install and has worked flawlessly for us. I love the safety feature where if you don't use the hot water dispenser for a few days it shuts off too. Easy to turn back on with the push of a button on the main unit.
A couple of things to know before you buy:
1/ because of the instant hot water dispenser, the RVO water is never very cold. Lukewarm at best. So if you're thinking you are going to have nice cold drinking water ready to go at any time - be aware of this. We have a fridge with a filtered ice maker which solves for this problem..
2/ we installed our dispensing tap under upper cabinetry. If you use the instant hot water to fill up a larger cup or pot it will generate a lot of steam. This steam can collect on the faucet's fancy digital display (which is touch sensitive) making it hard to shut off - a potential safety hazard. Be aware of this and keep a cloth nearby to wipe it down.
Other than that it's a great convenience product and we love ours!”
“Just setup the filter tonight. It was as easy as they claim. The install is a breeze even if you have limited knowledge about plumbing. One thing I had to modify is the drain saddle. My plumbing was a size bigger . Easy enough to fix and had no leaks or problems at all during setup. Highly recommend for functionality and ease of setup.”
