Amazing tour! Also the tour guide is very knowledgeable! If you haven’t been to the outback you haven’t been to Australia.

I would definitely recommend the tour. I was a bit sceptic if I would enjoy sleeping directly under stars but it was one of the best parts. Food was even as a vegetarian good and it was a extremely nice group of people, luckily all at bit older (around 30). I really enjoyed the hikes which we had to start early in the morning due to the weather conditions. If you are not really fit or struggling with the heat , you always have the option of shorter walks. The first day of the tour was super chaotic, since the bus broke down and due to extreme weather conditions 3 people ended up in the medical center due to dehydration. Our guide and the guides from other tours who helped out did their best, but my mood was not the best since I felt I missed out on some stuff and our guide was stressed, of course. We arrived super late at the camp site, extremely (!) hungry and fell in the dark in our swags. The next days were a lot better. The only problem was that the air condition in the bus could not handle the extremely hot weather, so the temperature reached like 43degreed in the bus which was really really unpleasant. The booking experience with way Outback was in general good, everything worked out fine and I would book with them again. The only thing was that my hostel for the last night was changed and the pick up time for the next day back to Uluru as well. I would have liked to get informed of this changes by email or sms and not by the hotel reception which did not speak English that well.

A fantastic tour taking in all of the major highlights of the area. Adam was an amazing tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable about indigenous culture, white explorer history and the history of the lands formation. Loved sleeping under the stars. My only criticism is that our group was too big. I think there were 21 of us, which was far too many for 1 tour guide to manage on his own. Considering the guide does all the driving, does the long walks with you and prepares all the food it's no wonder they look exhausted by the end of it.

The phrase "trip of a lifetime" is a cliche, but it sums up my experience on this tour. From seeing Uluru up-close-and-personal to climbing "Heart Attack Hill" at King's Canyon to my personal discovery that "swag" was not the Australian term for "tent" (to the endless amusement of the others on the tour), this tour provided a unique, mind-broadening and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Special kudos to Emily, our guide, who shared a broad knowledge of the area's history, geology and even botany, and helped us to see the amazing beauty of the Red Centre.
