In your case, you're right at the end of the recommended range for size 39. Depending on your overall foot shape, wether insoles are added or not and how much space one prefers, a taller size can be the right match as well.

“i am a big fan of your shoes and i was very happy to contribute to the regeneration project with this beautiful pair of Zora... Unfortunately, the material is very rigid compared to some other models that i have (Sabio, and wombat for example as a winter model) and it doesn't feel so comfortable to walk in them... also, even though I waterproof them fully, tip of my feet got wet after a 20 min walk under light rain... it is written in the description of the shoes, water resistant, it's one of the main reason I ordered this shoes... so yep pretty much disappointed...”
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Zora, Johanna. The upper made from recyceled cotton is tightly woven and indeed rather stiff, especially in the beginning. After some time of wear, it should get softer though. The Zora is, as all other fall/winter Wildling shoes water-repellent, but not 100% waterproof. You can enhance the effect of the integrated membrane by treating the microfibre rim with a waterproofing agent. Make sure to cover all the corners and also the bottom part of the microfibre when applying the treatment.
