“I ordered my 2XL Hayward suit in October. It was shipped and arrived at my door in less than 3 days. Upon unboxing I could tell it was a high quality suit. The stitching is stout and the material is tightly put together. It's a heavy duty suit. The jacket has a removable soft shell for those warmer days. The thing I noticed most was all of the pockets and waterproof zippers. The bibs have heavy duty knees and a reinforced seat for those tough hunting situations. The handwarmer pockets are spot on but I never needed to add the hand warmers. This year I guided 56 out of 60 days on the Bay. Our clients count on me to take them out on some of the harshest weather days. We go out when everyone else is hunkering down inside. My first test on the water was on the Saginaw Bay when it was 19 degrees and blowing 20mph plus. The water temp was 35 degrees and I was dealing with boat spray all day long chasing down my clients birds on the open water. I had 1/4” of ice on my windshield and my outer shell was covered in ice. The day definitely had to potential to be cold and miserable for me. I can tell you in all honesty that I never missed a beat. We pulled off a 6 client diver duck hunt and I stayed warm and dry the entire time. I've bought other suits that claimed to do the same thing but failed at some point on every miserable day. Most suits fail at the zippers or the seams. This is not the case. The Hayward is the real deal. Add to it the piece of mind that if I fall in to the freezing water the suit will keep me afloat buying me time to get help or get back in to the boat and it's a no brainer for me. I'd recommend this Hayward Suit every single time. My 2 crew members have the suit as well.
