“Why does every piece of "waterproof" gear Is buy leave me cold and soaking wet? $500 mechanix heated waterproof gloves, rocky boots, zamberlan boots, and yes the windrider pro rain suit too. Would be a stretch to call it rain resistant. Brand new. Put it on, thought I was cool, went out into a light rain.... 15 to 20 minutes and there I was soaking f****** wet again. Spent another hundred bucks and covered the thing in bees wax and boiled linseed oil. Tested it again and yes now it's approaching waterproof. Needs some more coats.but at least the water is beading up and running of instead of just soaking right in. Don't know where the good reviews come from but windrider I have some startling news for you.... These things are not even close to waterproof. If you think that's waterproof your dreaming. Don't believe me ? I dare you put one of your pro suits on and go out in a good could rain and try to get something done. Pffft good luck.”
