“I hesitated over this purchase because the reviews made clear that sizing was problematic, but finally took a gamble. I’m normally a size 8-10 in bottoms and dislike too snug a fit around the waist, so I ordered a size 3. It’s too big, but not so much so that I can be confident a 2 (had there been one in stock) would have fitted. It’s a shame, because the skirt is otherwise very well made and the stitching makes it stand out. If you manage to obtain one that fits, it will be a great addition to your wardrobe.”
“I should have read the reviews before I ordered this. I am a consistent size 1 and even a 0 in some items. Unfortunately this was far too small and has done nothing for my confidence trying to get it on. My experience is the same as others who have left reviews, definitely size up in this item. Disappointing and will be returning.”
“I loved this denim skirt from first noticing it on Marielle. I am a size 10 but don’t like things tight so as this skirt had no give to it I ordered a size 3. It took a long long time for it to arrive and when it did I was undecided as to whether to keep it or not as it was still on the tight side. Eventually I managed to get it exchanged for a size 4 which is perfect. Very happy now but please Wyse get your sizing more consistent as I first ordered this skirt at the beginning of November and 2 and a half months later I finally have the correct size to fit me.”
“This skirt is a lovely colour and the sticking detail is really thoughtfully done.
The size 1 was very narrow and didn’t button on my waist. I think the next size would have been too shapeless for me in the length. I’m 5ft 4” and 8-10.

“I ordered this skirt in the fall and waited patiently for it to be delivered. Finally received the skirt in January. I am so disappointed. The skirt is extremely small. I am a regular size 2 in Wyse - pants, skirts and dresses. I ordered a size 2 in this skirt and could barely get the skirt over my hips, let alone zipped and buttoned up!!! If you are considering, you may need to size up by 2 sizes!!! The quality and style of the skirt is beautiful though. Hoping that Wyse’s quality control is not slipping. Unfortunately I live in Canada so returns are very costly to send back - another item going to goodwill (***sigh***).”
“This is a beautiful skirt…the stitching gives it an edge and I love the dark denim as it goes with almost anything. However, I waited a long time for it and was disappointed to find it fit perfectly apart from the waist.
I’m not sure about others, but I’ve found that a number of items have been a tiny bit tight on me around the tummy at Wyse?! Maybe it’s me, but I’d love a slightly more generous cut around the middle. I’m a pretty consistent size 1 other than the waist and it’s a shame to size up to a 2 and lose the fit everywhere…but having to do this fairly regularly. Or perhaps the answe is less chocolate?!”
“Preordered this lovely skirt the day it was released, almost 3 months ago.
I’m usually a size 1, (size 8), so ordered a 1.
When it eventually arrived, it would barely go over my hips! I was a 2 in the Paris flares, so I then ordered a size 2 and crossed my fingers.
The 2 arrived quickly but was still too tight and uncomfortable. So have given up and returned both. Don’t think I’m going to bother preordering as it’s annoying when you wait so long and the size is unpredictable. But love Wyse generally.”
“I love this skirt, it’s a heavyweight denim perfect for the colder months, and the stitching detail raises it from the merely ordinary to something special, but unfortunately it has to go back. I’m so disappointed as I missed out on the first round of pre-ordering and thought I had missed out completely. I’m usually a size 3 in Wyse and at 5’5”, not being blessed with long legs, this skirt sits well below my knees at the most unflattering part of my calf. If I pull it up so it’s high waisted it is less long for me but the waist is very tight, no give at all, which would make it an uncomfortable wear post-lunch or dinner. I hope Wyse make this skirt with a tiny bit of stretch and also a version for those of us who aren’t leggy and tall. It’s gorgeous and I want it but at the moment it’s uncomfortable and unfaltering, sadly.”
