This is my favorite watch that I own. I get so many compliments on it! It looks really nice with a gold mesh band too.

The James Trappist-1 is another example of Xeric's ability to design and produce a distinctive watch for NASA enthusiasts. As an astronomer, I find the watch to be a testament to the Apollo 11 moon mission. Moreover, the "Eagle has Landed" depiction on the reverse side of the watch provides a fitting representation of the historic event. A beautiful watch, as well as a great conversation starter. Well done Xeric!

This is a cool watch and very creative endeavor. I broke from my vintage collection by adding a vintage inspired theme. Apolo 11 is one of the greatest achievements in Man's history, endorsed by NASA I had no choice but to invest in this special watch. The design compliments the horological mechanics, so I'm a little bias in recommending all of xeriscape watches be automatic. It is a conversation piece with a story that can lead one from watches to Apolo 11 and into the future with Trappist-1. It has a quality build, clean lines, creative concepts from the Cupola observatory module, planetary hands, decorative rotor. I have a seven inch wrist and this watch wears well and comfortable. Honestly, I thought this was something to buy not wear because of the size. No I don't wear it every day as a beater watch, but most definitely at parties and gatherings. Being a vintage watch enthuist, I wear 34mm - 36mm and I have no problem adjusting. I have a couple of housekeeping items... The lume on the star studded background highlighted with the planetary globes is really what makes this watch. It doesn't last as long as I would like, but then again I would like it to last for hours. The added bonus of the pocket uv is a nice touch. I'm happy to see Xerica move away from kickstarted and into pre-sales from their own website. It added more confidence in buying future watches vs prototype rewards. My main hopes is that they would add more step and have these shipped back in bulk to their company for a final QC and shipped from US. It may be time to grow and become an in house assembly and still have their base movements. With that I hope to see my pre-purchased Vendetta soon. Ok, so you got me for two watches outside of my collection. Good job!

Hey Mark! Wow thanks for the detailed review. We love getting personalized feedback on the designs. This NASA watch was our biggest Kickstarter campaign yet! It was tough navigating the delays from COVID last year, but we are so glad that people really enjoyed the design, and the efforts made to create something really unique! Since we received such a huge interest in the Vendetta design, we're going to add some more colors in the future. If you have any questions, feedback about designs, please reach out to the team and enjoy both of those items! Would love to see some photos of you wearing them as well! Though this review is probably too late be of use to anybody, I'd thought I'd make it anyways. I'm overall quite happy with this watch. This is my third xeric watch (the first two being halograph IIs). I really love how the watch came packaged with a small key-chain UV light to charge the lume - though I'd advise not putting the light up against the glass as I've accidently scratched the dome while doing that. Although the plastic used in the dome can be scratched (but also smoothed out) quite easily compared to sapphire glass, it makes the watch lighter and thus nicer to wear. This watch contrasts from some of the other NASA Trappist watches in that the time dials aren't luminescent. However, this doesn't really impair my ability to read the time in the dark as the cupola produces a shadowy outline that can be used to intuitively determine what time the tritium-lit planets are positioned at. Compared to the lume on the halograph II Automatic, the luminescent paint on this watch is a godsend. The paint is actually slightly charged just by standing in a lit room (this doesn't happen with the lume on my halograph). The stars, when lit by a UV light, will continue to glow for about two hours though they will lose most of their brightness in about a few minutes (which really isn't important for telling the time). Now when it comes to accuracy, this watch is a step up from my halograph IIs. Though my watch is probably an exception, but when I first got it, the watch's time wasn't noticeably off until after about 4 days of wearing it. Now of course that accuracy has decreased to the point wear it gains about 10-20 seconds of time a day but that's still 10-20 seconds better than my other watches. Like my halograph II automatic blood moon edition (but strangely not the rosewood edition), the watch lacks a hacking movement. Though I suppose no one else really cares about this detail, I find that the lack of this feature makes it more difficult to perfectly re-adjust the time as well as means that the second hand provides no relevant information on the time. Likewise, while the crown is pulled out to adjust the time, the minute and hour hand also continue to move, which makes it even more difficult to correctly adjust the time. One detail about the second hand that I find interesting is how it ticks twice every second (as in it ticks twice to move a single marking, not in that it jumps two markings a second) as opposed to once every second like on every quartz watch I own. Overall, I'm quite happy and satisfied with this watch, the slight troubles and quirks are worth having people say "Hey that's a really cool watch!". The only real problem I have with this watch is that while wear it, the back of the case gives my wrist a rash (which neither of my Halographs have ever done even though they're made out of the same type of stainless steel), though I suppose I am likely a rare case with this.

i ordered this watch literally 5 month ago. The shipping procedure started 2 month ago. When i am checking the location they constantly tell me the watch is at Fort worth in Texas. I am very patient, but this is just too much!

Incredible watch that never fails to put a smile on my face or get a compliment. Only issue is I don’t really like the leather strap it came with (quality not all that great and can see it wearing out even after only using it a few times).

The watch is just as beautiful if not more beautiful than it is in the pictures. It’s comfortable to wear thanks to the very nice straps even though it’s a bit heavy and the glowing star feature is stunning.
