“The watches I got look great. Got the gold and green one and the gunmetal black. I always get complements on them. The two things that drive me crazy are the date and the luminescence. The date is too small to see unless you have the prefect angle and the glass normally has glare on it so it hinders seeing it. I'd rather it not be there instead of being unreadable. The campaign also had many pictures of the watch looking like it was going to be super bright in the dark which with a design like that would be AMAZING. Instead it is super weak. I have read the answer to this from Xeric and I get that sometimes design conditions limit things but it was a HUGE part of the visual campaign in the funding stage. Other than that it is a sweet watch. Fix those two items and you have a perfect watch.”
“It’s beautiful, but poorly designed for practicality. The minute and hour hands are impossible to read in low light and still difficult to read in full light due to the reflective dome and the black grate overlying the watch face. Worst of all, the timekeaping randomly stops for 10-20 minutes every few days, putting the time behind and making it basically useless. Xeric refused to refund as I had passed the 30 days from purchase period when I raised these issues with them (the watch took two weeks to arrive).”
“I bought a Xeric Halograph Automatic watch on an earlier kickstarter and it was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the Trappist-1 Moonphase Gunmetal Red watch finally came in and although it looks nice, it feels like a piece of plastic, a kids toy watch you would buy at a dollar store. I would return it for a full refund if i could. I would not wear this as part of my rotation at all. It will now collect dust.
