“I love my Xeric Trappist, it has a real premium feel to it and it's so different from what people have seen before that it's guaranteed to start a conversation even with people that aren't all that interested in watches. It takes a while to get used to reading the hour and minute hands but it's worth it”
“I was an early backer of this watch and am not disappointed. this watch is totally different than any other watch (and i own over 50) yet unlike a lot of the others, is quite easy to read. wore it yesterday and had to take it off to show a friend.”
“The watch looks great but it scratches if you even look at it wrong. The watch is pretty much useless except to look pretty on my dresser because I’m afraid of wearing it and scratching it all to pieces.”
“Not the reason why I got this Xeric watch, but getting compliments all the time is a great benefit--especially because it starts a lot of small talk conversations. Thanks!”
“Watch is great for the most part. It is an attention getter. My only issue is the date indicator is difficult to view. There is almost always glare off the lens that sits over it to magnify it, making it unreadable. It might be better to leave the lens out. Additionally the hour indicator blocks the date indicator in the 6 o’clock hour.”
“I love the design. I’m a college student majoring in mechanical engineering. Just took my modern physics class that dealt with relativity and we even went into depth about how massive objects bend space. So this watch is perfect for my collection! I love your watches and the unique designs that you come up with. I definitely nerd out every time I wear this watch. But from the very first time I tried it on I have had the hardest time reading the date. It appears there are multiple layers(main dome, magnifying lens, and I think the plastic disc that rotates) that all have massive reflections making it near impossible to read the date unless in perfect lighting. My second complaint would be that setting this watch takes forever. I understand that with the complications this watch has, that there are a limited number of ways to set it but it’s still not ideal to have to wind through up to 30 days to set the moon phase. Lastly I just wish there was an option to order this style with an automatic movement. But that’s just me being a watch snob. Looking forward to the next model that you release. I just hope that the quality control is better this time. Being that the Trappist one has the reflection issues with the date and the soloscope that I received had a dirty dial from the factory and the seconds hand was a different color that was pictured in the campaign.”
