“I think the functionality of this box is pretty good but the materials let it down, particularly the seal to stop it leaking, it really smells of chemicals/glue/plasticisers. I'm not sure if this is phathalete free, no claims on that. But whatever, given the chemical smell I don't want that leaching into my 4 years olds food. This kind of seal might be acceptable for windows or cars but not really to eat your food on. So I'm going to need to send this back unfortunately, especially at this price point. If you're not picky about health, it's an otherwise great box and would have been great I think. Daughter liked it.”

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. We are very sorry to hear that the lid seal let you down. It is made from 100% Food Grade Silicone, and it most definitely will not leach any harmful chemicals into anyone's food. We would not sell any food products that would do this, and they would not pass all the required testing and regulations that OmieLife worked hard to get the lunchbox and all of its components through. It is possible that the safe plastic packaging used for the lid seal could cause a temporary odour to linger, as this can inconsistently happen with products of all kinds when stored, but you are meant to wash all parts before use too so this would further help the cause. “Purchased for my 4 year old for nursery . Can’t praise this lunch box enough keeps food hot or cold all day easy to open even for my 4year old . Also I received the best customer service as I originally ordered the pink by mistake so before it was shipped I emailed customer service to see if they could change to the purple one before it was shipped received a quick reply from lovely lady called Katie who changed the order for me she was so helpful . Will definitely be purchasing again .”

Hi Taylor, thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us, I'm so sorry to hear that the OmieBox isn't as big as you expected. We do share measurements for the OmieBox to try to help customers gauge the size before purchase, and as with every partitioned lunchbox, after a little planning and practice, you would be surprised how much you can fit inside. My son is 7 and has a big appetite, and he came home with a few leftovers last week as he said I packed too much! I put in 2 sandwiches, carrot sticks, strawberries, sausages, pain au chocolat and cookies. I also have my own OmieBox and find that I can fit in the perfectly sized hot or cold lunch for myself, too. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can help! Katie x

“Bought for my 5 year old for her school lunchbox. Loads of space for squeezing in lots of different foods. she likes she can take a warm lunch to school and alternate between cold lunches too!”
