“I prefer wave caps (such as those worn under helmets) as opposed to having to tie/untie durags daily, but they tend to stain my pillows with black dye. I got this to wear over those when sleeping and on the go. Much more functional, comfortable, and stylish than durags imo. The loop that you twist holds firm without fitting too tight and causing discomfort like a tied knot might. Does not offer the same level of compression as a durag on it’s own; would not recommend as a 1:1 replacement for forming waves. Ideal for keeping hair moist, sleep, and/or protected from dust/elements.”
