“I drink matcha every day and I use it as part of my cancer treatment so I generally buy a high quality product, viz Kenko Tea's organic ceremonial matcha. Because of the amount I use I was hoping to find a lower priced one of similar quality. I tried three alternative brands, Bare Blends, an organic ceremonial one from Amazon called Matcha Bae, and the Zen Green Tea matcha.
If I call the Kenko 5-stars then the Matcha Bae is also 5 stars, the other two are quite drinkable and it was good to try them but they would be 3-stars according to my rating, based on taste and colour, which in the Bae and Kenko are exquisite. The Bae is the same price as the Kenko, and the Zen and Bare Blends are a lot cheaper. I've decided at this stage I'll stay with the Kenko.”
